At first I really didn’t plan to join the conference cause for me its kinda boring and the registration fee hurts badly. But when we were told that it is compulsory for the us 4th year students to join, I joined!.

By the way MCITE stands for Mindanao Student Information Technology Education and the theme was "Gearing Up Towards a Sustainable IT Culture in Mindanao". The conference talks about the current trend of technologies, new stuffs, tutorials, best thesis of different schools, new software and etc. As a whole, the activity was successful; many students from Region 11 and from other regions in Mindanao participated in the conference. The speakers have done their best in imparting or share their knowledge in the field of IT to the participants.

My favorite part that made me listened was about the "thesis of different schools, Blender, Ruby on Rails, the famous Google and the very exciting raffle" but sad to say, no Jonathan Avila was called. The statement that I cant really forget that was said by one of the speakers, "Before there were no high-tech gadgets like nowadays, but now technology is evolving very fast, yet we the youth can still say WE’RE BORED?!". After the conference, I then realized that I was lucky enough to join the conference. New knowledge was imparted and many encouragements were heard. I’m looking forward to join again next year. (Pwede pa unta). So that’s all folks.. O-daijini emoticon
