D’s Side…

"How Great is our God". This was the theme of the thanksgiving celebration at Peace A/G last December 23, 2007. That day was filled with joy and thankfulness of each member and including the visitors that Sunday. It started at 9:00am with a Praise and Worship celebration which led by Kuya Art together with the worship team. Followed by the word of God from Ptr. Bullo, which was invited to share from Baybay A/G in Leyte. After that was the much awaited part of the program, KAONS!..(lol)..So the people had a great fellowship w/ one another, sharing and talking stuffs while eating.  So then the second part of program started at around 1:30pm, it was the presentation by family. All families who are present that day presented their special numbers including us the Avila Family like singing and dancing. Lastly, was the presentation by department, first to present was the Kids then the WM (Womens Ministries), the  MM (Mens Mniistries) and the finale was the Youth Department. The celebration was really successful and very enjoyable. It was another unique and unforgettable experience with the members and visitors. Indeed God is GREAT!.. O-daijini mina sama!..

"The British Invasion" (Season Finale)

1. Lila went inside to the cabin and talked and asked some questions to Doakes. She was ready to unlocked Doakes from the cage but after knowing that Dexter was the "Bay Harbor Butcher", her mind changed, she was so amazed and so convinced that she really is Dexter’s soulmate and she blew off the entire cabin using the stove and prophane gas that resulted to Doakes’ death. So it was shown off as a suicide.

2. In the police station, it was confirmed that the dead body was Doakes and the case was about to close. Meanwhile Dexter and Masuka talking about the suicide of Doakes but they really were not convinced so Dexter then discovered and was confirmed that the GPRS device on the scene was exaclty the GPRS device from his van that Lila stole. So Dexter and Lila met and talked and tricked her that they will be together again and will be  leaving the town but in Dexter’s mind was the opposite, he wants her inside the garbage bag. He doesnt want the creature he had created which he called " the deeply mutated version of his self".

3. The move of Dexter of killing her was screwed, Lila went missing. When Dexter got to the station he discovered that Lila called and was looking for him. Lila kidnapped the two kids of RIta and luckily Dexter wasnt too late to rescue them and his own self from the fire at Lila’s place.

4. Lila went back to Paris thinking that they were dead, but when he entered into her house, Dexter was already there waiting and she ended lying inside a plastic bag in the couch dead.

"Left turn ahead"

1. Lila was so desperate to get Dexter back. She set up Batista and blackmailed Dexter that she would bail charges of rape againts Batista if he wont come back with her.

2. Dexter convinced Lila and  said that he will be gone permanently, so Lila followed him to the  place where they went with Rita. Lila went to Dexter’s car and stole the GPRS device and headed to the last destination where Dexter went and where he caged Doakes.

3. He was thinking of turning himself in to the police. He had said his goodbyes to people he cares for, Rita and the kids and his sister Debra. But after saying it to Debra, immediately he changed his mind about turning his self in because of what Debra has told him.

"Tagbo sa pagdayeg", the 12-hour praise and worship gathering of different churches in Toril and also Davao. It was held outside of the Barangay Hall at Toril Davao City last December 21, 2007. The team at Peace A/G which is our church was invited to minister with them with songs of praise and worship. When we arrived there, many people where gathered in the venue. During the activity Ive seen some problems (slot schedule) that took place and resulted for us to maybe change our mind and back out but moments later it was settled and we are on. It was another experience for us the team to minister to that place and to play songs of worship to God. Personally, I was very happy for the oppurtunity that was given to us cause in every oppurtinity comes fresh new learnngs. Advance Merry Christmas pips!..God Bless!..O-daijini Mina Sama!..

"There’s Something About Harry"

1. Rita now is letting Dexter come into her life again. They’ve talked and had a bonding to the beach with her children.

2. Lila and Masuka had a night together in her place and ended up Masuka calling an ambulance for help because Lila took and use some drugs and maybe hurt her own self..  

3. When Dexter finally decided to kill Doakes, Doakes reveals a secret about Harry that made the decision  changed and made Dexter so curious about it. So Dexter asks the former co-worker of his Dad and discovered that Harry commited suicide using medicine overdose that resulted to heart attack. By remembering an event in the past, Dexter came to point realizing that he was reason why his father commited suicide. 

"Resistance is Futile"

1. Dexter is moving away with Lila and realizing that Lila is not worthy for him. And he now realized that Lila wasl not willing to let go of him. 

2. Lundy is moving one step ahead and is making Dexter so nervous of the FBI that is always following Dexter. 

3. Doakes already knew the monster within Dexter by sneaking into his apartment and discovering the blood slides that Dexter collected from his victims. But all the while Dexter was lucky. Doakes became the prime suspect after the FBI discovered the blood slides collection in the car of Doakes which was from Dexter’s place and he ended in a cabin waiting for Dexter’s decision when he followed Dexter and tried to arrest him.

"Morning Comes"

1. Dexter becomes so very close with Lila after the fire at her place but after discovering that Lila went to the house of Rita w/o the consent and by stealing the key at Dexter, he finally burst out and ended their relationship with Lila.

2. After bowling, Dexter was attacked by the man who killed her mother. Dexter then gave him a second visit and then gave what the "Bay Harbor Butcher" is capable of.  

3. After reviewing the "Rodrigo Files" Debra, Lundy and Masuka discovered that the suspect is only within their vicinity all the while, but still not knowing it was Dexter.

Im excited for this day because we will have a gig in around 5:oo pm!(yeah!)..It is the wedding of our churchmate Anne and Fortune and we the Peace AG band will be their musicians in their ceremony. This is my first time to play in a nice and formal venue outside our church, the Buffet Palace in Matina Davao City. We will be playing from the ceremony down to the reception which will be held also in the said venue. And guess what?!…Ill be wearing a pink colored long sleeves!…WAW!..Hehehe Im hoping that we can play with our best for the Lord and also for the soon to be pronounced "Man and Wife".  O-daijini!..

Asian Idol is a singing competition featuring the winners of idol competitions from six Asian countries namely; India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam, It was won by Singapore Idol Hady Mirza , who was awarded an international recording contract and a free trip around the world. The competition was held at Jakarta Indonesia last December 15 and 16 2007. Every country in the competition has one representative as judged, in the Philippines was Pilita Corales. It was also aired in ABC5 in the Philippines. The system of voting is the viewers will choose two favorite idols and the score will be 50% from the judge and 50% from text votes.

I really didn’t expect that the Singaporean Idol would bring home the title cause for me my winner would either be Mau Marcelo of the Philippines or Mike Mohede of Indonesia. They both showed a lot of talent and professionalism in performing and singing. Almost all the judges and the congregation choose Mau or Mike as their winner. Even though my bet didnt made it, still they are all now the singing idol accross Asia and world!. This proves that Asians also have the best talents in singing!..
